The features that get the most attention aren't always the ones you notice day to day. This is the list of smaller, practical touches that make using Conteur comfortable over the long run.
Safe Shutdown
One button in the sidebar cleanly stops every Conteur process, including any AI model running in the background, so the app closes properly every time and starts fresh next time.
Custom backgrounds
Personalize your writing workspace with a background image of your choice, so the app you spend hours in every day looks like yours.
Adaptive Learning
Settings that let Conteur adapt to how you work over time, rather than treating every writer the same way.
Database location control
Choose exactly where your story data is stored on disk, keeping full control over where your work lives.
Built-in Help assistant
An in-app Help assistant searches Conteur's full help database to answer your questions, and reads your live account when you ask about billing or your plan, so it gives you a real answer instead of a guess. A complete user guide is built in as well.
